Summer Morning
Fine Art Print
Usually when I do a painting based off of a picture, I’ll mess with the composition or the color scheme. On this one, I didn’t change the composition, but I did change the color scheme a bit. The colors on the photo were similar to this, but I saw a good opportunity to make another monochromatic painting (which means that only a few colors are used). In fact, I only used purple, yellow, and white. Since yellow and purple are complements (opposite sides of the color wheel) they gray each other out when mixed together. When I use them in their pure form I get the contrast I’m looking for. White gives the value change, and that’s where the depth comes in.

Shipping and fulfillment may take a week or so due to my flying schedule—I am often away from the home studio for half a month at a time while flying airplanes. I will be sure to let you know if it will take longer than that.
Please let me know if you have any issues with the painting when it arrives or over the course of its lifetime on your wall. Click here for more details on returns and damaged artwork.
