About the paintings…

  • Much of my inspiration comes from an original idea that I’ve gotten through wandering around in God’s creation, after which I gather reference photos to aid me in putting together the painting.

  • For about eight years, I used acrylic paint as my medium, but I’ve discovered recently that oil is far easier to use and manipulate. I now primarily use oil paint.

  • I either use a stretched canvas (usually for larger paintings) or a canvas panel, which is basically canvas stretched over a composite board.

  • Original paintings are currently shipped unframed—we realize this is an investment, so we prefer to allow our customers to select the exact frame they would like in their own territory.

  • As soon as you make an order, I will go about packaging and shipping the painting. I am often out traveling for my flying job, so this may take a week or so.

All paintings come ready to hang on your wall—if it is a stretched canvas, it will have a hanging wire on the back since it is able to be hung without a frame. If it is a canvas panel, you may specify whether you would like a frame or not.

  • We don’t currently offer refunds for intact and functioning artwork. However, if your piece arrives damaged, contact us and we will make it right.

The Painted Materials

Stretched Canvas

I prefer painting on stretched canvas for larger projects or projects which have unique aspect ratios which would make shopping for a frame more difficult. The benefit with these is that they have a cool wrap around effect with the added depth, and they can hang on the wall without a frame, reducing the cost of mounting.

Canvas Panels

Canvas panels are simple and easy ways to get paint on a flat surface. I like focusing on smaller projects with these or even using them to do practice runs for larger paintings. Even though they don’t have much for an edge, I like painting all the way around the canvas to give it a nice finished look. My favorite part is they fit into any picture frame perfectly—just be sure to remove the glass beforehand.
