Reaching For It
Fine Art Print
In my travels for my flying job I have often found myself wandering through some woods and, evidently, taking pictures of mushrooms. For this painting I took a trip through my photo album and found a ground-angle view of a mushroom sitting there all by itself. When I showed it to my wife, explaining that I was about to paint it, she said she especially liked the spider. “Spider? What spider?” was my question. As it turned out, it was just a leaf. But she liked it. So I decided to incorporate a spider.
Maybe you don’t like spiders. And I’m not a fan of spiders either. But I think it adds some motion to this piece which wouldn’t have existed otherwise. And, plus, this spider is staying in his own yard playing with his own mushroom. So I’d be perfectly happy in not squashing him.

Shipping and fulfillment may take a week or so due to my flying schedule—I am often away from the home studio for half a month at a time while flying airplanes. I will be sure to let you know if it will take longer than that.
Please let me know if you have any issues with the painting when it arrives or over the course of its lifetime on your wall. Click here for more details on returns and damaged artwork.
